Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ride The Leaders LLC ("Ride The Leaders," "RTL," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information in connection with our Service.

The Service includes ridetheleaders.com, our publication at letters.ridetheleaders.com, subscriber communications and chat, emails, and related services.

1. SUBSTACK AND OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS

Our newsletter, subscriptions, subscriber accounts, payments, and certain community features are provided through Substack.

Substack may process certain information for its own purposes under its privacy policy and may also process subscriber information on our behalf as the platform we use to operate our publication.

Payment information may be processed by Stripe or other payment providers used by Substack.

Ride The Leaders does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Third-party providers may have their own privacy policies and terms governing their processing of information.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may receive information directly from you, from Substack or other service providers, or through your use of the Service.

Information you provide or that Substack makes available to us as publisher. This may include:

  • your name;
  • email address;
  • Substack profile information;
  • subscription status;
  • whether your subscription is free or paid;
  • subscription plan;
  • subscription start date;
  • trial status;
  • renewal or cancellation status;
  • referral source or tagged-link information where available;
  • engagement information reported to publishers, such as opens, views, or interaction with posts;
  • comments;
  • subscriber chat messages;
  • direct messages;
  • emails you send to us; and
  • support requests or other communications.

Website and technical information. ridetheleaders.com uses Cloudflare for website infrastructure and may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic.

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not rely on cookies or local storage for visitor analytics and is not intended to track individual users across websites.

Cloudflare may separately process technical information associated with delivering, operating, protecting, and securing the website, such as network, device, browser, IP-address, request, or security information, under its own privacy practices.

Public information. We may review and record publicly available information on Substack, social-media platforms, websites, or other public sources in the ordinary course of publishing, research, audience engagement, and business development.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We may use personal information to:

  • provide and operate the Service;
  • deliver newsletters, posts, emails, alerts, and subscriber communications;
  • administer free and paid subscriptions;
  • respond to questions and provide support;
  • operate subscriber chat or community features;
  • understand which content readers find useful;
  • measure readership, engagement, referrals, and subscription conversion;
  • improve our publication and Service;
  • detect fraud, abuse, impersonation, spam, or unauthorized redistribution;
  • protect the security of the Service;
  • enforce our Terms of Service;
  • maintain accounting, tax, legal, security, and business records;
  • communicate changes to the Service or our policies; and
  • carry out ordinary business administration.

We do not sell personal information for money.

We do not use subscriber information to provide third-party behavioral advertising.

4. AUTOMATION AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Ride The Leaders may use automated software and artificial-intelligence tools to assist with internal business functions.

These functions may include:

  • drafting and editing content;
  • summarizing information;
  • analyzing aggregate readership or business data;
  • categorizing messages;
  • assisting with subscriber support;
  • detecting spam or abuse;
  • compliance and editorial quality checks;
  • maintaining records;
  • organizing research; and
  • other administrative tasks.

Such tools may process limited information reasonably necessary to perform those functions.

Ride The Leaders does not intentionally provide full payment-card information to artificial-intelligence tools.

We do not sell subscriber information for AI training or advertising.

We do not use automated systems to make legally significant decisions about subscribers.

Material editorial, trading, account, and subscriber decisions remain subject to human review.

5. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Ride The Leaders.

These may include providers involved in:

  • publishing;
  • subscription management;
  • payment processing;
  • hosting;
  • website infrastructure;
  • email delivery;
  • analytics;
  • security;
  • software;
  • artificial intelligence;
  • file or record storage;
  • accounting; and
  • other operational functions.

Examples may include Substack, Stripe, Cloudflare, and other software providers we use from time to time.

These companies process information according to their respective contractual obligations, terms, and privacy practices.

We may also disclose information:

  • to accountants, attorneys, consultants, or other professional advisers where reasonably necessary;
  • when required by applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process;
  • to investigate or prevent suspected fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, security threats, or violations of our Terms;
  • to protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Ride The Leaders, our subscribers, or others; or
  • in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, sale, restructuring, or transfer involving all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

6. WE DO NOT SELL PERSONAL INFORMATION

Ride The Leaders does not sell subscriber personal information for monetary consideration.

We also do not share subscriber personal information with third parties for their own behavioral advertising purposes.

If our practices materially change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

7. EMAILS AND COMMUNICATION PREFERENCES

You may unsubscribe from marketing or publication emails using the unsubscribe link included in applicable messages or through your Substack account settings.

Certain transactional or administrative communications may still be sent where reasonably necessary, such as subscription, billing, account, security, or policy notices.

8. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND BILLING INFORMATION

Paid subscriptions are generally administered through Substack and its payment providers.

You may manage or cancel your subscription using the account or subscription-management tools provided by Substack.

Ride The Leaders does not receive or store your full payment-card information.

9. YOUR PRIVACY REQUESTS

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that Ride The Leaders maintains about you.

We will consider and respond to requests as required by applicable law.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

We may retain information where permitted or required for purposes including:

  • legal obligations;
  • tax and accounting records;
  • fraud prevention;
  • security;
  • dispute resolution;
  • enforcement of agreements; or
  • other legitimate business purposes.

Information controlled directly by Substack or another service provider may also need to be managed through that provider.

10. DATA RETENTION

We retain subscriber and business information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and maintain our relationship with you.

After that relationship ends, we may retain information for a reasonable period where needed for:

  • accounting;
  • tax;
  • legal compliance;
  • security;
  • fraud prevention;
  • dispute resolution;
  • enforcement of agreements; or
  • ordinary business recordkeeping.

Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.

11. SECURITY

Ride The Leaders uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we maintain.

However, no method of internet transmission, electronic storage, or information-security system is completely secure.

We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own account credentials.

12. CHILDREN

The Service is intended for adults.

Ride The Leaders does not knowingly offer paid services to or knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through the Service.

13. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, research sources, social networks, or other services.

Those third parties operate under their own privacy policies and practices.

Ride The Leaders is not responsible for the privacy practices of unrelated third-party services.

14. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

Ride The Leaders is operated from the United States.

Information associated with the Service may be processed or stored in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate.

Privacy protections may differ among jurisdictions.

Where applicable law imposes specific requirements regarding international processing, we and our service providers will address those requirements as applicable.

15. STATE AND OTHER PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.

Those rights may include, where applicable, rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about certain processing practices.

Not every privacy law applies to every business or every person.

Ride The Leaders will honor privacy rights that apply to it under applicable law.
